Our hearts are full; what can we say?

Truly grateful to friends, colleagues and peers who showed up on a Friday evening, bringing energy and ideas to the room!

๐Ÿ”น The evening kicked off with a keynote address from Dr Ajay Mathur (Professor in Practice, School of Public Policy, IIT Delhi), underscoring the role of women as central decision-makers for transformative climate action. His address highlighted ways in which women can rise to become powerful agents of change for an effective energy transition โ€” by participating in and engaging with conversations that inform policy development, adopting livelihoods based on clean energy, and making investments in enterprises that contribute to the nationโ€™s clean energy goals.

Dr Mathur also highlighted that strategies focusing on income generation for the poorest communities and offering sustainable pathways out of poverty are the need of the hour, encouraging us to set the bar higher for our engagement with women leaders in Odisha on energy transition.

๐Ÿ”น Our evening panel, โ€œ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ ๐…๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ซ: ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ, ๐‚๐š๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‚๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง,โ€ was a space for authentic and grounded dialogue on challenges and opportunities ahead in climate action. The conversation focused on the urgent need to unlock diverse capital, bridge voices across generations, and bring philanthropy closer to communities on the front lines.

Our moderator, Satyam Vyas (Founder and CEO, Arthan Careers and Climate Asia) and panellists, Aparna Khandelwal (Director Philanthropy, India Climate Collaborative), Swati Agarwal (Climate Director, Asia Philanthropy Circle) and Anshul Tewari (Founder, Youth Ki Awaaz) challenged us to rethink collaboration and capital to augment climate resilience and adaptation, and the role of youth and local actors in shaping solutions for the future:

We closed the evening over dinner and meaningful connections โ€“ energised to catalyse new partnerships for inclusive, responsive, just climate action.

Deep gratitude to friends who joined us for the evening; together, we move closer to a world where every person can thrive with dignity and opportunity.
